Luang Namtha is Laos' premier ecotourism location with a large diversity of ethnic groups and large tracks of primary tropical forest. Trekking, kayaking and mountain biking in Luang Namtha Province are the main ecotourism activities. Many ecotourism guides have been trained in the principles of ecotourism have been many years. This means that you are likely to get a guide who understand well the principles of ecotourism. All ecotourism activities in Luang Namtha work on the community-based ecotourism model meaning that not only to the villagers benefit economically but there are also involved in the management of the trekking program.
Ecotourism activities in Luang Namtha offer a great opportunity to visit traditional villages, diverse forests and to support local resource conservation efforts. The permit fees benefit the NPA, the local villages and the local guides. The pr iicencludes food, water, transport, guides, lodging and the trekking permit.

Groups are limited to 4 - 8 persons and the minimum charge is for 4 persons. Groups less than 4 must pay as for 4 persons.
